Io sono giapponese.
我叫Ami--Mi chiamo Ami.
Mi piace Italiano.

[v"] [t"] [d"] + you = 音が変わる

A: What kept you! I thought you were going to hurry!
B: I did hurry. And I'm not late. I told you I'd get here after lunch.
A: But it's three o'clock! What have you been doing all this time? Eating?

OK. I've got your prescription ready. It includes skin lotion plus pills. Perhaps your doctor told you, but you can apply the lotion whenever you feel itchiness. Yet you should only take one pill a day, always before bed. It will control the itchiness and make you feel drowsy, which will help you sleep.

A: Oh, I'm thirsty. That water looks too good. I have to have a drink right now.
B: Wait, wait! We don't want to break any Japanese customs. I'm going to ask that guy over there if it's alright.
A: OK, but he's got to be as hot as I am. I'm sure he'll want to have a drink, too.

This train doesn't stop in Baltimore. You're on the wrong platform. You want the train on Platform 8, but it won't be arriving for another hour. If you would've been there ten minutes ago, you could've caught the express to Baltimore. But now you've got an hour to kill.

助動詞 + have/not= 短くなる
たとえば、"should have"は"should've"(シュダヴ)、"will not"は"won't"(ウオゥントゥ)と短くなります。

A: Why don't you put your arm around her? It would've made a better shot.
B: I should've, but... do you think she would mind?
A: I doubt it. Let's ask if she won't mind one more.

Visit the U.S.A.
Well, if your credit card is missing, you ought to telephone your credit card company right away. You'll want to have them cancel your card. But before you call, I think you have to retrace your steps and hunt again. You want to make sure it's really gone before you call. For example, you could've left it in your hotel room.
